FACULTY & STAFF ACCESS TO CAMPUS NOV 22-JANUARY
Campus is closed from November 22nd until January. Student and employee card access will be turned off on Sunday, November 22nd. Faculty and Staff who need access to their office or empty classrooms during remote instruction or over the break can indicate their intentions and seek approval from their Dean or VP using this form. Employees who submit this form will get an email confirmation after their Dean or VP has approved campus access. Employees who are approved to come to campus will have their ID cards reactivated during this time.
If you need to come to campus for a one-time errand, please contact Campus Public Safety for one-time access.
HELPDESK SUPPORT DURING REMOTE INSTRUCTION
The Helpdesk has microphones, webcams and some headsets available for faculty if they need them during remote instruction. This Friday is the last day that the staff in Rowell Annex will be on-campus. After the break Helpdesk services will remain mostly virtual unless we there is a scheduled appointment. A small number of Helpdesk techs are planning to remain onsite to help out on an appointment basis. We encourage faculty to reach out to the Helpdesk early this week to get any technology support you may need during remote instruction.
RECENT MESSAGES FROM THE COLLEGE
On Friday, following the Governor’s Press conference issuing new guidance for the State of Vermont, President Akande sent the following pre-Thanksgiving guidance and gratitude messages to students, faculty and staff. Students were strongly encouraged to head home early rather than waiting until this Sunday when residence halls will close. Faculty were also reminded that they can exercise their choice to shift to 100% virtual instruction at any point.
