MHS Newsletter
Your news source for Mansfield High School
From the Principal's Desk...
Dear MHS Students and Families,
Once again, this edition of the newsletter falls on a day of transition here at MHS. We are just finishing up a busy week of school and are looking forward to a relaxing February break. We are also preparing for a return to school with new expectations for mask wearing. If you have not done so already, please review Superintendent Murphy’s Newsletter for more information about this shift. I have also included a copy of the brief statement I shared with students at the end of the school day today.
Upcoming ½ Days: March 9th (Professional Development) and 10th (Parent-Teacher Conferences) will both be ½ days.
Parent-Teacher Conferences: will be taking place virtually on March 10th. Please look for emails on March 3rd from each of your child's teachers with instructions for booking a conference if you wish to meet.
Senior Events: On March 4th, I will be sharing the stage with Class of 2022 President Sagar Koul for a “Senior Town Hall.” During this event, Sagar and I will share key information that Seniors will need to know as we move closer and closer to graduation. This is a very exciting time for Seniors and I hope to paint a clear picture of what they can expect.
ELA MCAS: All 10th grade students will be taking the ELA MCAS Assessment on March 22nd and 23rd. Please keep in mind that both those dates will be “reverse half days” for grades 9, 11 and 12. School will start at 10:30am.
Please enjoy a restful break and I can’t wait to see everyone on the 28th!
Sincerely,
Tim Tichacek
Principal
