Our first grade will be going to Cornerstone Ranch in Ada tomorrow. We will leave at 7:45 a.m. and return around 2:30pm. This is a really fun pumpkin patch for our kids to enjoy! Parents are welcome to follow the bus...you will pay your $6.00 at the ranch when you arrive. If you didn't ask for a sack lunch from the cafeteria, be sure to send a lunch that is in a paper sack with all contents that can be thrown away. Temperatures will be in the fifties tomorrow with cloudy skies. Be sure to dress your child in tennis shoes, rain boots, long pants, and hoodies. We want everyone to be comfortable.
Don't forget to send your Box Tops!! The final day of the contest will be October 26th. The class that wins will have an ice cream party!
Red Ribbon Week will be October 22nd- October 26th. This is an opportunity for all of us to have conversations with our students about the consequences of doing illegal drugs, excessive drinking, and smoking. Too many children in our community are affected by adults in their lives that do illegal drugs. We have to fight this epidemic in every way we can. Anytime the chance presents itself, talk to your children about the harm illegal drugs, excessive drinking, and smoking can have in their lives. The adults in every child's life can make a difference in the choices our babies will make as they get older.
The dress up days next week will be:
Monday-Wear Red-Red'y to live a drug free life
Tuesday-Crazy Outfits-It's Crazy to do drugs
Wednesday-PJ Day-Follow your dreams-don't do drugs
Thursday-Hawaiian-Lei off the drugs
Friday-Dress as your favorite character-Say Boo to drugs
Your children have been taking their Study Island Benchmarks this week and some have been doing STAR progress monitoring. AR points and accuracy will be checked on Wednesday, October 17th. Special rewards will go to students that have reached their goals.
