Summer Camp Resources

Thank you

Thank you for being educational providers during the summer months for our students within St. Lucie Public Schools. We have added some resources that are specific to your needs to help prevent the summer slide. Click on the Summer Camp Resources for specific sites to be used during the summer.

Using iReady

Students have access to iReady through the end of July each summer. Students are able to login using their student id number and lunch number. Students can access their pathway and track their progress each week. Only St. Lucie Public School employees assigned to the students can access the reports for students. This will not effect students' ability to learn and grow.

Barnes and Noble Summer Reading

The Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program is here to help you on your way, encouraging you to read books of your own choosing and earn a FREE book, simply by following these three easy steps:

  1. Read any eight books this summer and record them in your Summer Reading Journal (English or EspaƱol). Tell us which part of the book is your favorite, and why.
  2. Bring your completed journal to a Barnes & Noble store between May 15th and September 3rd, 2018. Find a Store
  3. Choose your FREE reading adventure from the book list featured on the back of the journal.

This would be a great way to encourage reading and then have a field trip to a Barnes and Noble store.

Hands on Science Activities and Experiments

Are you looking for fun, exciting, and hands on science experiments that you can do with students from PreSchool to High School? Check out the resources on the Hands on Science link that allow you to make your own cloud, make your own ice cream, explore bending light, and more.

Math Calendars

Check out the Math Calendars for grade specific activities that you can do with students throughout the summer. An activity a day helps them keep their math skills current and practice fluency with students facts.

Are you interested in learning a language this summer? DuoLingo is a great opportunity to increase your knowledge of a foreign language. This free program allows you a few lessons a day (5-20 minutes) to increase your language development.

Moby Max

The Boys and Girls Clubs of St. Lucie all use MobyMax to help support student learning in and out of the classroom. St. Lucie Public Schools and the Children's Services Council endorse this differentiated online learning platform.
