From the Board
Happy Holidays to all of our Centerville families. We have had another busy month! We want to thank everyone who came out to our first Movie Night of the year. Big thanks to the Kiddie Academy in Urbana for providing popcorn to all of our guests. If you haven’t been to movie night before, we encourage you to come! Bring a blanket, come in your jammies and enjoy the show.
We are in the planning process for our school talent show. If you have any suggestions, or would like to help, please come to our December PTA Meeting on December 7th at 8AM in the Media Center. Also, on the bottom of our home page www.ptaces.org there is a form you can fill out for any suggestions you may have, please feel free to fill that out if you can’t make it to the meeting.
All PTA members who chose to receive a directory should have already received one. If you haven’t, please contact membership@ptaces.org. If you didn’t purchase a directory and would still like to do so, we have some left and they can be purchased for $5. Please send in payment and note with your child marked CES PTA to purchase. We only have around 50 to sell.
Don’t forget ~ if you’re holiday shopping on Amazon, remember to use smile.amazon.com to make your Amazon purchases. Please set your charity to Centerville Elementary School PTA and our school will receive 0.5% back on all purchases. Little by little, a little becomes a lot!
We are excited to announce we have lined up a school day assembly for December 12th. Meteorologist Justin Berk with be coming to the school to showcase a STEM based program with a focus on winter weather and safety. If you’re not familiar with Justin, check out his facebook page, Justin Berk, Meteorologist. His forecasts are usually spot on!
We have a lot of great things in store for the rest of the school year! We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and a restful winter break.
