PSAT Day 10/12/22
All 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will take the PSAT on 10/12/22.
Students do NOT need to register for this test.

College Visits at UHS


REMINDER!
All students should log into E-hall pass each morning to check your passes for the day. If you have an appointment with your counselor or a school social worker, you will see your pass on e-hall pass the morning of. If you have any questions about e-hall pass please come to the counseling center.
Between October 25th to October 28th, the counseling center will be sending out FIVE prize E-hall passes. These will be appointment passes from the counseling center. These appointment passes will look like real passes and should be treated that way. To find out if you won the prize e-hall pass, you will check your e-hall pass daily as you normally do and activate any e-pass you have for the correct time. Go to the counseling center at the appropriate time and find out you were one of the five e-hall passes- if you are, you will win a prize! All you need to do is check your e-hall pass every morning and go to the assigned location at the designated time.
**We will still be sending out our normal appointment passes through e-hall pass that week as well.




Applications are Open for the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University
The Pennsylvania Department of Education is pleased to announce that the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University is now accepting applications from talented high school juniors for the summer 2023 program.
PGSS is an intensive, five-week summer residential program that emphasizes cooperative learning and hands-on laboratory research for high school juniors pursuing careers in science and mathematics. The goal of the program is to encourage Pennsylvania’s youth to pursue careers in STEM-related fields. Accepted applicants will receive a full scholarship to the program.

July 2, 2023 – August 5, 2023
Where:
Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA
Who May Apply:
The program is open to high school juniors at time of application who attend a public, nonpublic, or private school or are homeschooled.
Deadline to Apply:
Completed applications must be submitted via the website per instructions http://sciences.pa-gov-schools.org no later than January 31, 2023. Applications submitted after this date and time will be disqualified.

PA Build My Future- Penn College, Williamsport, PA
PA Build My Future gives students the opportunity to have a day to work in the construction and design industry through an interactive showcase. Join us for Build My Future on October 13, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Thanks to industry leaders, students from area high schools and career and technical education centers will get an opportunity to explore a variety of career opportunities in the construction and design industries. There is no charge to the attend the event, however lunch is not included.
