Uniting people to pray in the Greater Sacramento Region.

“There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” - Ephesians 4:4-6

A Gospel Movement Affirmation

Just like light emits from the sun in an array, in today’s world there is a spectrum on which people believe in God. We have the legalistic church, the liberal church, agnostics, and those who believe in many gods. But at the center, there is the one who is radiating the light, who said “I am the light.” From that radiant center, we can discern straight forward and solid truths – simple things like the fact that God exists and created humanity to live in relationship with him. Observable facts like humans being separated from the goodness of God through sin and the mess of sin effecting societies and creation.. Sin left on its own leads to death and eternal separation from God. But, GOSPEL – good news - God intervened by sending his only son Jesus as a sacrifice to die for all people, and that through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ we can have both present and eternal relationship with God. Not only this, but the Holy Spirit within does transforming work, making people truly alive.

So, when we talk about “gospel movement”, we are talking about this kind of good news. It is the good news that sweeps forward , uniting people as it is both exhibited and explained. A gospel movement is broad and includes a wide variety of expressions of the Christian faith while at the same time very focused on these kinds of core affirmations because Jesus was very particular. As we communicate this gospel in clear and simple words that resonate in our minds and hearts, they must ring true with the Holy Scriptures. As we demonstrate this gospel, it will look a lot like the life of Jesus being lived out through many lives simultaneously. In this way, we experience the answer of the prayer in John 17, that we would be one just as Jesus and the Father are one. It is this relationship of love with the God who created us that unites us all in gospel movement.

Will You Become a Monthly Partner of SacramentoPRAYS?

Why do KLOVE/Air 1 and NPR all do “pledge drives” to convince listeners to give on a monthly basis? Because it works! Monthly donors are the absolute back bone of those radio stations and many other non-profits. It is amazing how MANY people doing SOMETHING produces a BIG result. Our “Fuel the Movement” campaign is about filling the tank for the years ahead through MANY people doing SOMETHING. We have seen such great progress in knitting together the prayer ministries in the region since the Sacramento Festival in 2012. We want this work to continue, but we need everyone to do SOMETHING. We need 100 monthly supporters to keep doing the work that is key for our catalytic regional gospel movement work to continue. You can participate by clicking here and following the very simple steps to set up a recurring monthly donation of any amount

If you want to learn much more about the good work that is happening in the region, you are invited to one of our six remaining Fuel the Movement meetings There will be a 40 minute presentation and time for Q&A on any subject related to the rising level of God’s activity throughout our Capital region.
