Ms. Borgert's Weekly Buzz
May 6, 2016
Notes from the teacher
What a wonderful turnout we had this morning for our Muffins in May. It was so nice for so many of you to come and spend some time with your child in our classroom. They were so excited! Though we had some tears when you left, they all got back into the groove pretty quickly! Enjoy the pictures at the bottom of the newsletter!
We are down to only 14 days left of school. This is such a bittersweet time because I know everyone is excited for summer, but I am going to miss this group so much! It seems that summer break fever has definitely begun to set in and we have had LOTS of extra energy, so please remind your kiddos that we will plan on having a lot of fun on these last 14 days, but are still going to be doing learning each day as well.
On the last 10 days, I like to do something special each day as a kind of countdown. I'll send a form home midweek so you will know what I have planned on certain days and if you need to send anything in etc. I'll put it on colorful paper so it stands out!
We have 7 wonderful chaperones for next week's field trip! Thank you so much! Remember to have your child wear their purple class shirt on Friday and to pack a completely disposable lunch (no lunch boxes please!). Let's hope that Mother Nature is on our side this year! Last year it rained and the year before that it HAILED! We will still go though rain or shine, but I sure hope we get a day like today!
Happy Mother's day to all of the wonderful Moms out there! Have a nice weekend!
