Mt. Carmel Elementary School
October 2018
Two months of school are already behind us, and it has been exciting to see how much progress students have made academically and socially in just a few weeks. Although Attendance Awareness Month is coming to a close, let's continue to remember that every day of learning counts. Lost instruction leads to lower student achievement. Also, family trips/vacations are not excused absences, so please schedule travel during the generous breaks included in Madison County's school calendar. We want your child learning with us every day!
Mt. Carmel Students Win Summer Reading Challenge!
We are so proud of our students for finishing #1 in the state of Alabama in Scholastic's Summer Reading Challenge! Our librarian, Mrs. Dunning, worked very hard to provide this opportunity for Mt. Carmel students.
Students Win Out-of-this-World Field Trip!
