Principal Manning's Message
Greetings,
I pray everyone had an excellent, restful holiday break. I'm excited about our plans for the second semester, and my staff is prepared and ready to educate your child to the highest level. We appreciate your support! A few things I want to share with your below.
Report Cards go home on January 5, 2023. Please invite your child to sit down and discuss their progress with you. If you need to conference with a teacher, please review our website page to retrieve their email addresses. We continue to provide tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you have concerns about your child's credits, contact our counselors to schedule an appointment via Zoom or in person. We are continuously working toward our student's success at all levels. Therefore our teams need your help with the second-semester opportunities for growth.
Safety
Could you continue to help us keep everyone safe? Talk to your child/children about safety measures in all aspects of their healthy being. We will continue to make plans and support safety measures here at New Hope.
Attendance
We need our students at school all day, every day! Mrs. Ryans will begin an " Attendance Challenge" between grade levels, and in May, they can choose a fun activity they would like to do if they WIN with fewer days absent as a class. Look for more details! Mrs. Ryans will provide more information from the Attendance Team.
Attitude
We know everyone faces obstacles and things that may affect attitudes about coming to school, getting students to school, encouraging students to do their school work, or empowering them to work well with others. Let's all work together to provide positive affirmation to our students daily.
Goal Setting
Let's work together to help our students set goals and monitor those goals often. If they work, continue; if they don't, change what we're doing.
Discipline
Please review the Madison County Board of Education Handbook and New Hope High School Handbook. They are both located on New Hope's website. If you need a hard copy, let our office staff know. Mrs. Ryans and Mrs. Bates will share data from the first semester about our overall progress. We have set goals for the second semester and strongly need your help to ensure that students learn and apply skills to show growth in all areas.
I appreciate your support,
David Manning

Front Office Important Information
Welcome Back Students and Parents,
We hope everyone had a great break. Please remember the attendance policy and expectations as we begin the second semester. Students and parents will need all absence notes turned in to the office by 9:00 a.m. Please put your first and last name on the notes. This action is essential to ensure the student's information is correct.
