Principal's Update
Non-Traditional Instruction Week of 5/25/2020
Dear Families,
We hope this last newsletter for the 2019-2020 school year finds everyone safe and healthy. We are in the home stretch. This Wednesday, May 27 is the last day of school for FCPS students. Please make sure your students are working these last couple of days to finish up the last of their NTI assignments. As a reminder, there will be no staff at school on Monday, May 25 due to the Memorial Day holiday.
In last week's newsletter we provided information about end of the year procedures to clean out lockers, pick up personal items, and drop off Crawford items (library books, textbooks, instruments, etc...). Any items not picked up by Wednesday, May 27 will be discarded.
The link to the 8th grade virtual promotion will be emailed out to all 8th grade students/families on Tuesday, May 26 at 10:00 a.m. The link will also be available on our website.
We will start sending newsletters again later in the summer as the new school year approaches. We hope everyone has a great summer!
Sincerely,
Mr. Jones, Mrs. Piatt, and Mr. Taylor

Summer Bridge Learning Opportunity
In an effort to provide continued learning opportunities for our students during the summer months, Fayette County Public Schools will offer our Summer Bridge Program - an independent learning program from preschool through eighth grade students.
This program will provide continued math and language literacy (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) learning opportunities for our students. Our goal is to reduce gaps in learning and provide structured activities for our students to complete with little or no assistance. FCPS will also be offering games and incentives as students and families meet their goals.
There are two sessions available and students may participate in one or both:
- June 22 through July 10
- July 13 through July 31
We are especially excited to offer our Crawford students who attend the June 22 through July 10 session the opportunity to work with our 21st Century (Extra Innings) Staff as they lead fun and educational activities online.
Additional information on Summer Bridge will be available in early June. Until that time, please visit the FCPS website for more information on Summer Bridge: www.fcps.net/SummerBridge
If you would like to sign your student up for this program, please fill out this form to complete an application.
Please contact Evin Shockey (evin.shockey@fayette.kyschools.us) if you have any questions.
