Back to School

Dear Families,

We are excited to begin the 2nd quarter of school. In order to prepare for the nine-weeks, we spent fall break scheduling students. Some student schedules have changed to accommodate student needs. Students will review schedules in advisory on Tuesday and Thursday. If your student is coming back from RCL, there will be tables for students to learn their advisory teacher.

6th Graders: Report to the auditorium

7th Graders: Report to the main gym

8th Graders: New F2F students: Stop by table up front to learn advisory and report to cafeteria or small gym accordingly

Caring for you and your family,

The RNR Family

Student Schedules

Student schedules will appear in Aspen on 10/20/2020. Students that are Face to Face will have access to their schedule during their advisory period. As we evaluate student needs, minimal schedule changes by administration could occur throughout this week.

Band and Orchestra

All RCL band and orchestra students have the opportunity to attend their class during their normally scheduled course. In order to take advantage of this opportunity, families will need to arrange this prior to joining the class with Ms. Hutchinson (khutchison@k12k.com) or Mr. Hernandez (chernandez@k12k.com).

Families must contact our directors before 10/23.

LAST CALL FOR 6th GRADE BAND OR ORCHESTRA:

We know that some RCL families were unable to begin band or orchestra this past nine-weeks. If your 6th grader has been an RCL student and you would like them to join band or orchestra, please complete this form by 10/23. (Please know we are unable to accommodate any requests for percussion (drums) as we are full.)

Arrival & Dismissal

We have seen an increase in student tardies. Beginning this nine-weeks students must be in class when the tardy bell rings at 7:45. Please plan to arrive prior to 7:40. Students may grab a free breakfast in the hallway before going to advisory.

Drop Off and Pick Up

Students Must Be Picked Up By 3:15 *Adhere to your traffic time as we will have more students dismissing at once.

For the safety of our students, all students should be picked up by 3:15 unless they are attending an after school event. If you arrive after 3:15, you will need to come to the office to sign your student out.

If you are unable to pick them up by 3:15, please arrange for another method of dismissal. If they need to ride a bus, please reach out to transportation at (423) 392-4670.

2:45 p.m. First group of buses will be released to load. 6th grade car riders will be dismissed along with any siblings so that students can be loaded at the same time.

2:50 p.m. Second group of buses will be released to load. 7th grade car riders will be dismissed along with any siblings.

2:55 p.m. 8th grade car riders will be released.

3:00 p.m. Walkers go to the auditorium. Athletes report to designated areas.

3:05 Walkers will be released after most of the cars are out of the parking lot to make it safer for them. All walkers must exit the front of the building.

3:15 All students should be off the RNR Campus unless they are participating in an after school activity. Students that are not picked up will be asked to come to the auditorium. Family members will need to park and pick up students from the building if it is after 3:15.

For the safety of our students, please do not park, pick-up, or drop-off students in either RNR faculty parking lot or at the church. You may pick-up in front of the school or in the former Ryan's parking lot.
