Follett Destiny Training: Reports, Inventory and more: April 19
This session is open to librarians and libary staff for districts participating in the Follett Destiny Consortium
In the morning session, participants will:
• Learn the purpose and features of various Destiny reports
• Create, analyze and share data from Destiny Custom reports
• Learn how to customize local records: sublocation, copy categories, etc.
• Learn best ways to complete an inventory in Follett Destiny

This session is open to librarians and teachers participating in the Follett Destiny consortium
In the afternoon session, participants will:
- Explore ways to maximize your use of Destiny Discover, including how to customize the experience for students, search for resources that align with learning objectives and provide access to limitless, curated digital resources.
- Develop an understanding of effective content curation
- Find and evaluate quality content aligned to curriculum
- Build educator capacity through collaboration and partnership
- Empower and cultivate collaboration between librarians and teachers to improve student learning

Future Ready Librarian Workshop: April 23
Mark Ray will lead participants as they explore the Future Ready Librarians Framework, including the school librarians role in curation and dissemination of content, working as a curriculum/tech/pedagogy consultant alongside classroom teachers, empowering students within a personalized learning environment, new directions for learning commons/lab type spaces.

Poverty Simulation Follow-Up Session: May 8

Participants will spend time discussing their thoughts after considering the poverty simulation experience. They will also discuss how to use their increased awareness and empathy gained from the simulation to improve our daily practices at the library. By the conclusion of this session, participants will have a personal action plan. Session is open to all W-FL BOCES librarians and library staff, prior attendance at the March 8 Poverty Simulation not required. This program is co-sponsored by the Pioneer Library System, RRLC and Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES. Funding is also being provided from the Harold Hacker Grant.

Topics included in this workshop:
• Cleaning up MARC records to prepare for inventory
• Conducting full and partial inventories
• Using tricorders to complete inventory

John Schu’s Review of Books for You & Your Readers Too!: May 24
Join in a conversation with John Schu as he presents some of the best new books. In typical John fashion, he will share book trailers, websites, activities, and interviews you can easily incorporate into book talks and programs to get everyone in your library hurrying to your bookshelves to find the perfect book. This session is best for Pre-K to grade 6. Co-Sponsored by RRLC (Rochester Regional Library Council) and The Leroy V. Good Library at Monroe Community College. This event is also co-sponsored by the School Library Systems in the Rochester region. Registration will be from 8:30-9:00 and we will begin promptly at 9:00.
