CARPE DIEM!
seize the day
"CARPE DIEM" is a Latin aphorism usually translated to "seize the day", taken from a poem in the Odes in 23 BC by the poet Horace.According to Wiktionary, it means to ATTACK the day's efforts with vigor and purpose. Often used in a hortatory manner and in the imperative mood.
Yesterday is in the tomb ,dead, long gone .Tomorrow is in the womb. You cannot actively touch it . What you have absolute control over is your "today"and right now .
Your life will be the sum total of all your "todays" .
If you are not in control of your "todays", you will never be in control of your life .If you are not enjoying your "todays", you will never enjoy your life . Do not approach your days in defensive mode .You must learn to play Offense . You must rise up to seize all God has promised and don't take "NO" for an answer.
Psalm 68:19
Blessed be the lord , who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah
God promised in scripture that he will daily load us with benefits ( psalm 168:19).You must consciously expect your daily supply of Gods Goodness .The expectation of the righteous shall not be cut short (Proverbs 23:18).
If you expect to just barely make it through the day , then thats what you'll get , a life of just barely making it. You must wake up each day with "GREAT EXPECTATIONS" for the day . Thats what faith is , great expectations.
Expect God to inspire you today , expect the answer you've been searching for, expect to know what to do on you job or about your business, expect increase, expect money, yes money . Money will come to those who confidently expect it, just because God promised to provide and not because of anything they did or didn't do.
Romans 4:6
Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
Romans 4:4-8 (Philips)
Now if a man works his wages are not counted as a gift but as a fair reward. But if a man, irrespective of his work, has faith as righteousness, then that man’s faith is counted as righteousness, and that is the gift of God. This is the happy state of the man whom God accounts righteous, apart from his achievements, as David expresses it: ‘Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin’.
Gods plans is to daily provide for us ( Matt 6:11 ,Give us this day our daily bread ) and for us to spend our days in prosperity ( Job 36:11, If they obey and serve him, they shall spend theirdays in prosperity...) but there is an enemy out there whose only agenda is to steal, kill and destroy.
We need to fight daily for the promises of God .
Find out what God promises you daily and attack anything that doesn't line up ,with a mouth filled with bold declarations of faith proceeding from a heart consciously resting confidently in Gods extravagant love.
A day started in fear, anxiety or worry is a "FEILD DAY" for the enemy .The enemy needs an atmosphere of fear to survive . Send him to the gas chambers , gas him out, snuff the life out of his power and presence in your day with a heart and mind armed and filled with with the consciousness of Gods love .
Perfect love cast out fear (1 john 4:18) .keep rejoicing no matter what comes your way , Refuse the temptation to be worried and anxious . The bible says, with joy you will draw water out of the wells of salvation ( Isaiah 12:3 ) .Keep expecting Gods goodness to be manifest .The enemy cannot survive in that atmosphere .Victory is yours.
Remember ,your life will be the sum total of all your "todays" …..CARPE DIEM! ( SEIZE THE DAY)
