A North Merrick Minute
An e-newsletter from the North Merrick Schools: Spring 2022
Update from the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Cynthia Seniuk
Dear Parents, Faculty and Staff,
Spring is finally here and we have so much to celebrate!
At the March 7 Budget Committee meeting, Deputy Superintendent for Curriculum, Beth Friedman, shared a short but dynamic video showing all the wonderful things happening during the school year in the North Merrick schools. Please take #A North Merrick Minute to enjoy the year in review, presented directly below this message.
We have had such a successful school year, opening up more and more in-person instruction and events with each passing month. It was wonderful to see our music students on the big stage, and we all look forward to seeing the Theatre Arts production with scenes from Shrek, Annie, and Bye, Bye, Birdie next weekend. Be sure to get your tickets! Scroll down for the order form.
Then on Saturday, April 2, the North Merrick Mental Health & Wellness Coalition will present a special parent workshop called Writing Yoga being held at Old Mill Road School. The online registration form can be accessed below. And, before you know it, summer will be here! Our Summer Learning Adventure programs will be in full swing and registration has begun - see the flyer below as well.
The year is flying by. Enjoy the warmer weather with your families and the many upcoming events to round out the 2021-22 school year.
