YQCA Training
If your 4-H’er is planning on showing livestock (beef, sheep, pig, goat, poultry, and rabbit) this year at county and/or state fair, they need to complete the YQCA Program by June 15th. Youth must pre-register to attend the face-to-face trainings. Coupons are available at the Extension Office for face-to-face trainings ONLY. Call, stop in, or email the office to get your coupon code(s). Youth may also complete YQCA online. Register for the in person training or complete the online training at https://yqca.learngrow.io/Account/Login/.

Enroll for 4-H - MUST BE ENROLLED BY JUNE 15TH
4-H Enrollment is open! Please do these easy steps to get re-enrolled for the 2020-2021 4-H year!
- Log-In at 4honline.com or click on the link provided below
- Update all contact information that has changed
- Select your projects
- Verify the number of years that you have been in 4-H- this must be accurate!
Each member, leader, and direct volunteer must re-enroll in 4-H every year. Log in with the email that you created the account with. If you forgot or do not remember your password, please click on " I Forgot My Password" and a temporary password will be sent to your email. If you have further problems, please contact the Extension Office. YOU MUST BE ENROLLED BY JUNE 15TH.

Webster County Fair Final Entries -Online
Meat Judging Summer Series
As AMSA explores opportunities to attract, develop, and connect meat science talent AMSA will be hosting our first virtual meat judging summer series (4 virtual meat judging contests) targeted to youth (3rd-12th grade, 4-H, FFA students, etc.). Participants will compete in divisions based on their upcoming grade: Youth (3rd-7th grade) and Senior Division (8th-12th grade). Divisions will be based on the grade the student is going into the upcoming academic year. The contest will consist of 6 placing classes, 2 questions classes, quality grading (6) and 40 Retail Identification. Participants will register via the AMSA website.

Contests will be open for 48 hrs. and the participant must complete the contest and submit the electronic scantron within the contest time allotment. Additional contest guidelines will be posted in the AMSA community platform in which the contests will be facilitated.
Points
Contests will be scored, and results will be posted to judgingcard.com and the AMSA website the Monday following the contest. All results across categories will be posted, but points will be earned on the overall ranking only.
Count top 3 contest rank finishes. Students placing 1 through 20 will receive rank points. For example, 1st place will receive 20 points, 2nd = 19 points, etc. The students will the five highest point totals will be eligible for awards.
Awards
Youth Division- Top five students receive awards
1st- $500 scholarship, 2nd- $250, 3rd- $100, 4th- $100, 5th- $50; Top 5 receive a complimentary AMSA Youth Membership
Senior Division- Top five students receive awards
1st- 1,500 scholarship, 2nd- $1,000 scholarship, 3rd- $750 scholarship, 4th- $500 scholarship, 5th- $250 scholarship; Top 5 receive a complimentary AMSA Youth Membership

2021 Fair Books
2021 Fair books are in and turned out amazing! Stop in the office to grab yours! Fair books are free to 4-H families thanks to the Webster County Fair Board. We ask one book per 4-H family.
*If your family participated in the to-go kits or online/in person workshops or camps, a new class has been added to put those exhibits in. They are not listed in the fair book but will be on ShoWorks when you go to enter. These classes are for the exhibits such as tie dye masks, bird feeder/windchime (cloverkid only). Others should be put where it was listed on the card that was in the kit.

Needing to fill out an affidavit for the fair? Click on the link below. You will be able to download and print. All affidavits are due June 15th. *All Home Environment/Photography exhibits need supporting tags! *Beef Stall Requests are due June 15th!
Superintendents & Assistants
Are you a Webster County 4-Her that is interested in being an assistant for the county fair? We would love for you to sign up! We are asking that you are ages 10 or older to take on this role. This is first come first serve, so sign up as soon as you can! Call or email the office for any questions.
We are still in need of superintendents! Please contact the office if this interests you.

Meet Our Webster County Extension 2021 Interns
Makayla Dinkler
Cody Buescher
Cody Buescher joins the Webster and Adams County Extension teams as a University of Nebraska Intern. He has been working at these extension offices for the past two weeks. Cody grew up on a farm and ranch north east of Guide Rock, Nebraska. While growing up, he was active in 4-H and FFA. Cody is currently obtaining bachelor degrees in K-12 Special Education and Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish at Doane University. Cody said, “I look forward to learning how the different counties go through the fair process. And I also can’t wait to meet all of the different families and watch them succeed throughout the summer.”
