TTSD Website is Getting an Updated Look
We are excited to share during the Spring Break vacation the TTSD website and school sites will be updated with a new look. All of the current content will stay the same with a new layout and features. We appreciate your patience as the site is under construction for a few days.
2022 Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival
Annual Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival runs March 18 to May 1, 2022 at 33814 S. Meridian Rd. Woodburn, OR 97071. Tickets must be purchased ahead online. https://www.woodenshoe.com/events/tulip-fest/
Tigard and Tualatin Public Library
There are a variety of events and activities happening during Spring Break at the Tigard and Tualatin Public Libraries. Check out their websites for dates and times.

Artwork Displayed in the District Office
The students at Byrom Elementary studied the artist John Constable for Art Literacy, an English landscape painter, and created their own amazing landscapes.
Volunteering in Your Community
There are a variety of ways families and students can volunteer in your own neighborhoods and this is a great way to teach children how to give back and share in the care of their community.
- Packed with Pride serving Tigard-Tualatin families is often in need of volunteers to help pack and sort food items and boxes. Find more information on how you can help on the Packed with Pride website.
- City of Tualatin Community and Volunteering web page has some great resources and options for "Do It Yourself" and TEAM volunteering.
- City of Tigard offers some resources on the Volunteer Tigard web page for families and students to serve in your community.
- Friends of Trees has a variety of events around Oregon throughout the year and are always in need of volunteers. Check out what they do on the Friends of Trees website.
Signs you will see when entering TTSD buildings
TTSD is currently in the low level of spread masks optional level. You will see the GREEN mask optional signs as you enter buildings. These signs will be updated to follow CDC’s recommendations regarding monitoring and evaluating risk as noted below:
- Low levels of spread = Masks optional green sign
- Medium levels of spread = Masks recommended yellow sign
- High levels of spread = Return to masking and consideration of pivot to online instruction orange sign
- Masks are welcome signs
We will also display masks are welcome signs to remind students, staff and community that all are welcome to wear a mask and will be supported if choosing to do so.

Lutheran Community Services Northwest Citizenship Program
FREE Online Citizenship classes for ESL speakers AND N-400 application services with immigration specialists. Spring Term begins Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Permanent Residents are eligible to apply for citizenship 90 days before their 5 year anniversary or 3 years if they are married to a U.S. citizen. The classes will run for 12-weeks. New students are welcome to join at any time during the first 3 weeks of classes. We will offer online classes, tutoring, and practice interviews. The first and last class will be in person at 605 SE Cesar Chavez Blvd., Portland.

- Fill out the "New Student Form" for registration
- Students will receive a follow-up email

Current Activities and Athletics Guidance
Athletics/Activities:
Masks are optional for students K-12 during indoor and outdoor activities.
Overnight travel for athletic competitions or performances will be permitted.
Masks are optional for students in K-8 indoor after school activities.
Indoor Spectators:
Spectators are allowed for indoor events. Masks are optional.
Concession stands can resume.
Food or drinks are allowed.
Steps to promote safety and distancing will continue.
Field Trips:
Field trips allowed in and outside of the district.
Overnight field trips are allowed aligned to pre-COVID policies.
Assemblies & After-School Extracurricular Activities
After-school social events, including school dances, proms, graduations and year-end celebrations are allowed. Steps to promote safety and distancing will continue.

Visitors/Volunteers
Volunteers will be allowed in buildings with proper District application and approval. Please find full information on the TTSD website here. Contact your school if you have questions.
All meetings that include those other than students and staff (PSO meetings, Site Council meetings, etc) may resume in-person.
Volunteer Service Projects
Volunteer events and projects may resume in-person and indoors.

COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing
Washington County website has the most up-to-date information for local COVID-19 testing, vaccination, and booster sites.
Is your child or family struggling with mental health or wellbeing?
They are available for consultation, student check-in's, or referral to outside services. Contact your school office to be connected to the school Counselor or Family Partnership Advocate.
