Between the Lions
A CMHS Publication - May 2016
From the Desk of Kathryn Woodson Barr, McAuley's Head of School...
First and foremost, THANK YOU for your amazing support over the past week as we shared the news of our upcoming name change. Many of us are disappointed about this next step, but I hope that you will join me in the decision to be excited about the new name and bright future ahead of us. Your voice and vision are needed - and valued - more than ever as we all work to Forge our Future. We will be sending you an email and an electronic survey on Friday - asking for your thoughts and suggestions surrounding the renaming of our school. We appreciate all of your help!
And...many thanks to everyone who participated in the Spirit Week Challenge in March and the Mud Season Parent Challenge in April. Over 60% of current families made a donation, which is the largest percentage of participation ever, AND we received the generous $10K parent challenge grant by obtaining 100 new or increased gifts! We encourage those of you who have not yet given to make your Annual Fund gift today. We continue to aim high for 100% parent participation, which shows that families who attend McAuley support the school.
I remain always and forever grateful to each of you and to this tremendous community. The power of the plaid - and its people - can never be diminished!
Sincerely,
Kathryn Woodson Barr
Head of School
