La Costa Meadows Elementary School
Weekly Dolphin Blast
Week of October 1, 2023
Lots of activities were happening last week at LCM! To start off, LCM's Annual Book Fair was a success! Thank you families who stopped by the library and picked up items. Next, Staff members had a productive Staff Meeting reviewing, discussing, and collaborating with topics which included: Epi-Pen training with our district nurse, team building, and Ms. Barnhill reviewing important information for our upcoming safety drills, expectations, and protocols for emergencies.
Then, last Friday was our second flag salute with acknowledging our students' birthdays, fabulous runners, excellent readers, and a competition with our kindness Crew. Our Student Council Members promoted Red Ribbon Week, and we ended the morning with our LCM's PTO Active Fundraising Crew who kicked off and promoted our Annual Carnival.
We ended our Friday at school with 'Knights of the Round Table', where seniors from SMHS visited all grade levels during the recess time and promoted activities and teams they participate in at SMHS, promoted healthy lifestyles, and played outdoor activities with our LCM students.
On top of all the activities and fun, students worked exceptionally hard on their rigor of learning, active participation, and challenged themselves to learning new concepts. We are proud of ALL our LCM students and Families!
Thank you for the amazing support, love, and kindness towards working together to support our LCM students!
