MPS Awarded $70,000 Grant
Mountainburg Public Schools has been awarded the 2022-2024 Successful Outcomes for Arkansas Readers (SOAR) grant by Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The grant award, valuing $70,000 over the next two years, will be used to support literacy projects and a culture of reading such as the One School One Book projects, student books, and teacher professional development.

Summer EBT Information
In addition to the P-EBT program for students who missed meals at school last year, DHS is offering a Summer EBT benefit.
Mountainburg is a special provisions school (CEP). ALL students in Mountainburg Public Schools are eligible for the Summer P-EBT and parents do not need to do anything. Benefits will be issued to all our students in the timeline DHS determines.

Communications
Mountainburg Public Schools utilizes many available avenues to communicate with employees, students, parents, and patrons of the district.
We encourage you to become familiar with the district website and download the district app to your phone.
You Asked, We Deliver!
In a parent survey that was done about school communications, one of the top requests was more two-way communication between teachers and parents. Parents, you asked, we deliver!
Through Apptegy, the company we contract with for our district website and app, has provided us with a communication feature through the DragonsLink App called Rooms.
- Download the DragonsLink App through your phone's app store.
- If the email on file in E-School is correct, you will receive an email invite from edurooms to join Rooms once we have everything established.
As with anything new, we will all need to learn how to use this feature. But it is a good learning curve for all because in the end, it means success for our students.

Band and Cheer Fundraiser
Here is an opportunity to help out the Band of Dragons, Jr. High Cheerleaders, and Varsity Cheeerleaders.

Registering Your Student Athlete on DragonFly by August 1
Below are the instrutions to register your student on DragonFly.
To expedite the process and to ensure your student athlete gets to participate in their sport when practice begins, we encourage parents to have the registration complete on or before Monday, August 1.

Little League Football or Cheerleading
It is time to start thinking about getting your little Dragons involved in little league football or little league cheerleading. Mountainburg Little League football and cheer are open to students in 2nd - 6th grades.
How to register:
- Pick up a form from one of the offices.
- Print the form below.
- Register online through the link below.
The fees need to be paid on or before August 12. If there is an issue with getting these paid, please contact Mrs. Dennis - angie.dennis@mountainburg.org.
