From the desk of the Principal:
Hi,
It is so hard to believe that we are coming to the end of another school year! We have had another phenomenal year! I am so proud of the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, district office support staff, parents, grandparents, guardians, volunteers, business partners and the Lesslie community have put forth to ensure that our students learn and achieve at high levels.
Our students continue to make growth towards academic goals. We have focused on teaching and learning for 180 days and the results are the individual growth of each student in our school.
We have 16 full days and 2 half instructional days left in the school year to teach and review this years standards. Please remember that school is not out and we need your child at school and on time everyday. Students should not be signed out early unless it is a family emergency or an appointment that cannot be scheduled after school hours. I really appreciate your support as we work hard to meet the individual needs of every student at Lesslie.
Teachers will be sending home the days and times of promotion ceremonies.
I encourage all of our students to read over the summer and to write about their experiences. I would love for you to send me a postcard telling about your escapades. It‘s always fun to see who traveled the farthest and what activities our students have participated in during the summer break.
I hope that you and your family have a restful, fun and safe summer!
Children First,
Seberina Myles, Ed. S.
Proud Principal of Lesslie Elementary School
