A Word from the Administrators
Good Afternoon Families,
We are moving into the final week of testing. 3-5th grade will be tackling the Math STAAR this week! If your child is testing please ensure they are going to bed early (take those phone away!!) and are either arriving to school early to eat breakfast or getting a breakfast before arriving. If they are bringing a snack please no chips that make their fingers colorful like Takis or Cheetos and not liquid like fruit cups or apple sauce as they are testing on computers. Let's have a GREAT WEEK!!

STAAR Testing Information ⭐⭐⭐⭐3rd - 5th Grade Parents
STAAR Testing will be taking place on the following dates:
5/2 5th Grade Math STAAR
5/3 4th Grade Math STAAR
5/4 3rd Grade Math STAAR
The campus will be closed to visitors on these dates. If your student is testing please make sure they have a good breakfast or get them to school by 7:45am to eat the campus breakfast, and have them to school on time. This test has been redesigned and the time limit has been removed. While most students will complete the test within 3 hours, they are allowed the entire day if needed. Please try to avoid picking your child up early on days they are scheduled to test. We will provide one snack and one water to each student. If you would like to send an additional snack, you are welcome to do so. Please try to send something healthy that can be eaten easily without a mess (ex. berries, grapes, cubed cheese, pretzels, beef jerky, etc.).No Takis or Cheetos etc. or liquid snacks such as fruit cups or pudding since it can compromise the technology used for testing. If you would like tips for helping prepare your student ahead of the test, check out How to Help My Child Prepare a couple of weeks in advance.

News from Nurse Lindsey
As we enter into the last month of the school year please remember that all medication has to be picked up by a parent/guardian from the clinic. Medication cannot be sent home with students. Any medication not picked up before the beginning of summer will be destroyed per district protocol. No medication is held during the summer. When medication is picked up in the clinic, I am happy to provide the necessary paperwork for the next school year so that you can get it completed over the summer. If anyone has any questions please let me know! All medication and health care documentation can be found on the HumbleISD website.
