Happy New Year !!
Quarantine & Isolation Protocols Have Changed!
There are are some significant changes in the COVID-19 world. Here is a simplified version of what is occurring in Freeland:
1. Required Isolation of COVID positive individuals is reduced from 10 days to 5 days for all students and staff. On day six (6), staff and students are allowed to return as long as they are symptom free or have resolving symptoms AND wear a mask for days six through ten.
2. Required Quarantine of close contacts not meeting the quarantine exemptions is reduced from 10 days to 5 days for all students and staff. On day six (6), staff and students are allowed to return as long as are symptom free or have resolving symptoms AND they wear a mask for days six through ten. Serial testing is still available for close contacts not meeting the quarantine exemptions, so they do not have to quarantine. Serial testing will go from 10 days to 5 days.
There are no other changes at this point. However, staff and students should NOT attend school if they have COVID-19 symptoms or are ill.

Strengths & Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ)
Freeland Community School District administrators and staff are committed to providing our students support through the implementation of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework. This framework analyzes individualized student needs to ensure the right supports are provided for each individual throughout our district. As part of our system of student support, we facilitate several universal screeners each year. These screeners provide us general information about each student's academic, mental-health and social-emotional needs.
