SJE Make Up Days

We will make up November 15th on February 15th. That day will be a planned e-learning makeup day. We will make up Jan 23rd on February 18th (President's Day) and will be designated a parent drive day.

All school closure days are now being added to the end of the school year AND become parent drive days as well. As of this newsletter, we have 4 days added (1/29, 1/30,1/31 and 2/1) to the end of the year. The last day is now May 30th barring any more closures. The calendar on the school website is up to date and will remain so with any more changes that may come.

SJE Kindness Week Coming

During the week of February 18th-22nd SJE students, faculty and staff will be focusing on kindness activities and lessons. The information will come from this kindness website. Teachers will be spending the next couple of weeks developing the lessons and activities for that week. The curriculum being used is secular however we are also going to intentionally weave in our faith perspective as well. More information will come as we get closer to that week.

Volunteering at SJE

Please note the info in bold below and see where you might be able to help/volunteer. If you have not yet volunteered this year, please consider doing so.

**Please note that your volunteer hours this year (18-19) will reduce or eliminate up to $400 of the tuition increase/student set for the 19-20 school year.***

The Lutheran SGO for SJE

It's that time again to have a conversation about our SGO. We have many families that have filled out applications requesting funds to assist with their school tuition. This is a great way to help them. It allows the donor to donate funds to the SGO and receive a 50% Indiana state tax credit. If your donation is large enough, you can carry it over up to 8 tax years. Our need this year as of now is $19,500.00, of which we already have about $7000.00. Please consider giving. There are so many ways to do so and more are coming in early 2019. Please visit the website for more info.
