MSDWC IREAD-3 Results Shine Locally

The Indiana Department of Education recently released results from the spring and summer 2021 IREAD-3 assessment. IREAD-3, Indiana Reading Evaluation and Determination, measures the development of foundational reading skills by students in third grade.

MSD of Wabash County third graders are showing strong reading proficiency through this assessment with a passing rate of 91.8%. This rate continues the several-year trend of leading the county and surpassing the state average.

Judy Decker Announces Retirement

After 47 years of transporting MSDWC students, Bus Driver Judy Decker is ready to turn in her bus keys! Judy has transported three generations and countless students, and we are immensely grateful for her dedicated service.

A Retirement Open House will be held in celebration of Judy on Wednesday, December 15 from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm in the Southwood Jr/Sr High School Cafeteria. The public is invited to attend especially those who had Judy as a driver during their school years.

High School Drama Plays Clue

Big picture

On November 6 students from Southwood and Northfield High Schools joined together for the drama production "Clue". Based on the classic Hasbro board game, the storyline of Clue follows a similar plot including a suspect, a murder weapon, and the room where the murder occurred.

Congratulations on a great performance to Director Lindsay Knee, along with cast members John Nesler, Libee Price, James Griffey, Addie France, Meryn Norman, Emma Adams, Sarah Smith, Duke Sparks, Kaylee Nelson, Elise Adams, Lyndzy Silvers, Izzy Gusmano, Abby Waite, Kammie Parker, and Yzzy Stangl.
