LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS - Please sign up! Thank you!

The Guest PTA is proud to announce our 2018-2019 fundraising effort! The PTA sponsors many great events for student enrichment and family fun. Our PTA helps fund; reading programs, classroom technology, educational assemblies, Spelling/Geography Bees and more. This year the PTA has many awesome events planned such as the ice cream social, run club, family dance, G.R.A.N.D., the annual variety show and our yearly carnival. To help pay for all of these wonderful opportunities, Guest asks families to participate in our biggest fundraiser, The Color Splash & Dash. The more funds we raise, the more amazing things we can provide for our children and our school.

This year we are doing a crowdfund online donation website. The students will take pledges for laps. $5=1 lap. We are hoping each student will acquire $40 in donations. See all classroom CROWDRISE links below

Per Child $40

Per Family (more than 1 child) $60

Color Splash & Dash:

To celebrate our fundraiser and promote exercise and healthy living, we will be hosting our sixth annual Color Splash & Dash on Friday, October 19th, 2018. The run, which is sponsored by PTA, will be held at Guest, during the day. This is NOT open to parents or to the public except volunteers. If you are not familiar with this type of run, participants will run, walk or stroll around the course while being “splashed” with washable powder; a sure way to impress any elementary child!

ABSENCES, CHANGES IN SCHEDULE, & NOTES TO SCHOOL

If you intend to keep your child home on a school day for any reason, please use our attendance hotline at 248-956-3390. You may leave a voicemail message 24 hours a day. IF we do not receive a call from you, we will call you to make sure that your child is indeed absent.

The Transportation Department will also issue year-long passes for in-district transfer and school of choice students when there is room on the bus.

If your child's transportation/dismissal for the end of the day changes in any way, please send in a note at the beginning of the day to your child's teacher AND the office. If this changes during the school day, please call our secretaries BEFORE 3:00 PM.
