Mrs. Stone and Mrs. O'Dell's
Important Reminders For November 2-6
I look forward to meeting with each of you!
**Tuesday, November 3rd is a Remote Learning Day. It is also Election Day and it is a Required Teacher Workday. There is No-School on campus. However, please see that there are assignments we will send home with your child on Monday that he/she will need for completion of assignments on Tuesday. Also, please see Seesaw for assignments for Tuesday as well!
**Please send a healthy snack and water bottle with your child to school (water fountains are closed-please label with child's name).
**Please remember to send your child’s fully charged chrome book daily in their book-bag. Please send it in their case with the charger and please make sure water bottles are not inside with the computer.
I can sequence the events in a story.
I can retell familiar stories, including key details.
I can name words that begin with /s/ and /t/.
I can write upper and lowercase Ss and Tt.
I can break apart sound heard in words.
I can identify and name 2-D shapes.
I can explain who the Pilgrims were and how they were important to the first Thanksgiving.
THIS WEEK'S WEEKLY WORDS
Nightly Homework Practice
**We will begin sending home a sight word list each week. Students need to practice recognizing/reading these words each night. We will have recognition tests on Fridays on these words. I will send home a list of suggested activities you can do with your child to help them begin to recognize these words. Sight word recognition is very important-90% of texts students read are sight words (words that cannot be sounded out).
