This is Ms. Crisci with your weekly updates.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend even though the weather was not in our favor.

Tomorrow is May 1st and students are getting excited for the warm weather and the end of the school year. Please continue to reinforce behavioral and academic expectations at home. Students need to remain on track in order to participate in year end field trips and events.

We want to give a big shout out and a huge thank you to all families and staff who attended McEducator night. It was another successful event. Everyone had a great time, and we learned that our Bishop Woods Family has a lot of talent. Many students took the mic and sang many songs showing us their beautiful voices. We are so proud of our students.

Grade 8 parents please continue to send in student dues as all monies are due by May 12th.

Students in grades 3-8 will begin taking the District’s Reading Inventory. Students should get a good night's sleep and arrive at school on time.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May-8th-May 12th and we want to spoil our teachers. The PTO is organizing a trail mix and snack attack bar and we need the help of our amazing families. If you can, please send store bought sealed donations no later than May 8th. Below is the link that outlines the needed items for the event. Just copy and paste the link for details

5/2 Grade K will have a puppet show from 12:30-1:30
5/4 Grade 8 students, Class of 2027, who will be attending Wilbur Cross in the fall will be going on a field trip from 11:15-1:15
5/5 Grade 3 Ms. Fair’s class will be going on a field trip to New Haven Reads
5/5 Grade 8 Ms. Haines class will be walking to Popeye’s to have lunch from 11:15-1:15
