Cup Stacking Time!
Cup Stacking is a great SPORT and it allows you to gain motor skills and focus on the task in front of you. We will have a Guinness World Record Day in November at Harrison Elementary.
If you would like to purchase a set of Speed Stacking Cups you can do that at school. Sets will be available on a first come first serve basis. Your purchases will help our school fund our Physical Education and Health program as we will receive a 15% bonus on every set you purchase. Click HERE for information to purchase!
Watch out Guinness Book of World Records! Here come the Harrison Elementary EXPLORERS!
Our JDRF Walk is October 18th. JDRF is
the leading organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.
Box Tops are Changing!
Last school year, HTS and PVS earned $2,917.80 from Box Tops for Education! All for clipping some Box Tops – easy!
Now Box Tops is undergoing a makeover. You’ll still find old style Box Tops on some products and when you do, you should clip them and have your children bring them to their teachers. But you will now also see new Box Tops labels that you don’t have to clip. Instead, download the Box Tops app to your phone and scan your receipts when you get home from the grocery store, Target, Walmart, or wherever you buy products with Box Tops.
That’s it! Your Box Tops will be automatically counted toward the school.
Thank you for your support!
Safety Drills
Our goal is to provide a safe learning and working environment for our students and staff. To achieve this goal, our staff work diligently throughout the school year to prevent and prepare. While our mission is the education of all students, school safety is the number one priority for the district.
To meet this goal, we focus our efforts on safety in two general categories: prevention and preparedness. A component of this goal includes the students practicing safety drills such as fire evacuations and lockdown drills, throughout all facets of their day; the classroom, lunchtime, recess, etc. Thank you in advance for supporting your child and helping them understand the importance of being a STAR student during these safety experiences.
