Drop-Off/Pick-Up/Parking
As the weather becomes colder, we seem to have more students being dropped off and picked up, increading traffic at the school. Here are some important things to review for safety:
Please do not park in our staff parking lot - park on Daily Street or MacCauley Street east of the school parking lot or past the bus/fire lane.
Students should cross MacCauley Street at one of the stop signs on MacCauley near the parking lot or at the cross walk past the bus/fire lane.
The handcap parking spot is available all day in the school parking lot.
Sudent Cell Phone Use at School
Students may bring mobile devices to school including cellphones. For safety reasons, they may ONLY use them with permssion from and under supervsion of a staff member. Students are NOT allowed to use cellephones at recess. It is not possible to properly supervise use at recess to ensure safety. As well, we promote socilaizing and being active at recess. Each classroom teacher will share rules and procedures for personal mobile device/cell phone use in the classroom. Please do not expect your child to monitor their phones for messages from home. Most of the day, it is is expected that phones are off so that students can focus on their learning. If you urgently need to get a message to your child, please call the office.
