Seniors Only

Remember, you can pick up your diploma right after your home-school graduation ceremony, or, the week after, if you prefer. If you wait until the week after graduation, pick it up in the guidance guidance office. Please make sure you don't have any outstanding fines or textbooks that belong to your school. You won't get your diploma if you aren't cleared.

Remember to log into your Naviance account and complete the senior survey(s). Talk to me if you need help with this.

Make sure you stay on top of all of the senior activities at your home school if you intend to participate in them. By now, your home school should know if you are walking in their ceremony.

If you are planning to attend a local community college, you should have already applied, attended the required orientation, taken your placement tests and met with a counselor. Most of you have already done this, or, are in process. If you need help, let me know ASAP!

Concurrent Enrollment Forms Due Now For Returning Students

If you are planning to enroll in a class (or classes!) at Canada College (or CSM or Skyline) in the summer or fall, please turn in your concurrent enrollment forms as soon as possible. Many summer classes are already closed, and fall classes are filling up. I have the schedules, concurrent enrollment forms and course equivalency list in the classroom. Talk to me if you need assistance with this.

Also, once you register for a class be aware that you may receive emails from professors over the summer. Check your SMCCD email often.

Textbooks can be purchased or rented at the bookstore. You can also rent textbooks from Amazon. Remember, this is your responsibility! I don't have access to this information.

End of the year information

The absolute last day of school is June 1st. This is the last day to turn in work for spring semester credit. Most of you will finish before this date!

Please return all of your textbooks. Remember, these are borrowed from other schools, and I must have them returned by June 1st.

Monday, May 30th is Memorial Day. There is no school.

Fall 2016 Important Information

Sorry to bring this up!

School begins on August 17th for both Canada College and the Sequoia Union High School District. I will begin calling families the second week of August to schedule Initial Appointments.

If you are planning to take a class at your home school- remember, ISP students can take one class, please talk to me. You will need to make an appointment to meet with your home-school counselor. They will check in with me, so, let me know your plan.

If you receive a letter from your home school asking you to update your address and other information, please do this!

Please let me know if you decide not to return to ISP in the fall. We are already filling up, so, it really helps us to know how much space we have available for students.

Final Thoughts

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with all of you this year. I can't believe how fast the year has flown by. I am so fortunate to work with such incredible students and consider myself very blessed. I hope you all have a fabulous summer filled with adventure, fun and lots of reading!!!!

Please periodically check your school email over the summer and, for sure, check your SMCCD email if you are a concurrently enrolled student.
