January 2021 Students of the Month!
Leah Henry
Leah Henry
Leah has been an excellent student at Twin Palms High School this year. She came to us in August and has passed all classes with high marks. She earned Honor Roll recognition with a 3.8 GPA in the 1st and 2nd quarter. This has resulted in her being one class away from graduating. She will be graduating this school year as a junior. This dedication and commitment to school includes having nearly perfect attendance and always given it her best on assignments. Teachers overwhelmingly chose her for this award and had the following to say about her: Mr. Blansett said that he had Leah for Civics, Economics, and U.S. History classes and she earned perfect A’s in all these classes. He mentioned how dedicated and consistent Leah was each day and always turned in quality work. Mr. Pence agrees and says that she also scored high on her English assignments and was punctual and respectful. Mr. Echeverria had her for Acellus courses and admired her hard work ethic and her cooperative and positive attitude each day. The office staff agrees and we are proud of Leah’s determination to not let distance learning or any other changes this year keep her from being her best. Way to stay strong this year!Devon Guzman-Hilligas
Devon Guzman-Hilligas
Devon has been perfect at Twin Palms High School. Last quarter he earned Principal’s Honor Roll with a perfect 4.0 GPA. This quarter he continues this with A’s in his current classes. His attendance is nearly perfect and teachers and staff had the following to say about Devon: Miss. Meave has had Devon for three classes so far and she has seen nothing but stellar work from him. She mentioned his maturity and respect during zoom classes and how organized and on top of his assignments he is. Mr. Blansett agrees and he sees Devon’s consistency in turning in assignments on Google Classroom and appreciates the focus and follow through that leads to excellent work turned in. Mr. Pence has seen Devon’s growth and resiliency this year and appreciates his positive mindset that is self-reflective and leads to making the right choices. Devon’s thoughtfulness and follow through is preparing him for even bigger accomplishments. The Teachers and Staff know that Devon will have great success in life with these attributes and qualities that he is showing. We are proud to have him as a student and look forward to seeing his continued success.
