Hour of Code

Join The Movement During The Month of December.

What is the Hour of Code?

In the month of December the Hour of Code will be open for all students to get exposure into the world of computer science. Currently, 71 percent of all US jobs require digital skills, and more than 50 percent of all math and science jobs are for computer science. These new programming jobs are growing 3 times faster than the number of students entering the field.

The way we can help is by giving our students a one-hour introduction into computer science, to show that anyone can learn the basics of coding. This will not only provide insight into the world of coding, but enhances the students problem solving skills, logic, and creativity,

Below, you will find links to join the Hour of Code, along with access to free curriculum, tutorials, videos, and the coding programs designed for students of all ages.

  • All your students need is a device they can connect with. More importantly many students all ready have access to Code.org through the Clever Portal.

Tweet your coding experience this month using #CodingInNB.

*Please, be mindful to only post images of students who have a signed media release form.
