LMS News-11/17/22
Liberty Middle School
Good morning Blue Jay families!
The weather is cooling down (quickly) and that means our winter sports and performances are starting up! Our Wrestlers have had their first two matches and have done a great job! Our 6th-8th Grade Orchestra Concert was Tuesday night and it was phenomenal. Basketball games start next week and our winter Band and Vocal Music concerts are just a few weeks away. We're very proud of how hard our students work to prepare themselves for these events.
Just a reminder, if you are checking for updated progress in PowerSchool you may see an [i] where the quarter progress report was located. If you click on the [i] it will show you updated information for 2nd quarter.
Next week we will have school Monday and Tuesday. These will be regularly scheduled days (no early release). School will be out Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
There will not be an LMS News next week, but it will return Thursday, December 1st. Have a great rest of the week!

Food Drive
Each year our school puts on a food drive to help collect food for the holiday assistance program called Liberty Community Christmas Tree. It helps serve liberty families who need a little extra help during the holidays. Last year, the program was able to deliver 900 boxes of food thanks to the generous donations from our community members. Please send any canned food/pantry items with your student(s) during the week of November 28th-December 2nd to turn into their advisory teacher. The advisory with the most food items collected will win a donut party in their advisory class. Thank you so much for your help! If you have questions contact our school social worker, Ms. Becca, at becca.higgins@lps53.org
