Marking Period 5 Progress Report Period Grades Available in Skyward
Marking period 5 progress report grades are available to view in Skyward Family and Student Access.
Student grade categories for the school year are consistent for each course. Daily grade average counts for 70% of their overall average. Tests & major assignments count 30% of their overall average. It is important students complete each assignment for each course.
Marking Period 5 started March 1 and will end on Friday, April 9th. Please contact teachers, counselors, and assistant principals if your student is struggling with attendance, grades, or there are other concerns.
Current Class Rank and Student GPA
Current information displayed reflects class rank and GPA through fall semester of 2020. Remember, the spring semester of 2020 does not calculate in GPA for any cohort. The information will updated again in June of 2021.
Progress Report Eligibility Period ended Friday, March 26 ***Regain Eligibility***
Students must be passing all courses to regain eligibility. Students who failed one or more courses for the fourth marking period can regain their eligibility if passing all courses at March 26 progress report. Students will become eligible for competitions on Thursday, April 1st at 3:25.
The eligibility calendar for the school year is available below. Please contact your student's sponsor for eligibility questions. The eligibility calendar is updated to reflect marking period 4 extension.
STAAR DATES 2021
STAAR Testing on Campus Required
Students take STAAR EOC assessments as they are completing the corresponding courses since these assessments are required for high school graduation (TEC 39.025). A student who does not pass may retake the assessment during the next administration to meet graduation requirements.
Virtual students have received a letter (see letter below) with details on test dates and times. There is no state option for taking a state assessment from home, therefore, virtual learners must report to campus to take the STAAR EOC assessment.
Please contact the your student's campus administrator with questions and/or concerns.
Instructional Method Change-Return to Campus & Cancellation of Virtual Learning
If your student is being unsuccessful with virtual learning, please contact a campus administrator immediately to discuss options. Two unsuccessful marking periods is a disadvantage for students on their path to earn credits for the school year.
The deadline to change instructional methods for the final marking period of the year was Monday, March 29th. We are not recommending any instructional changes for the final marking period of the school year. Any virtual student unsuccessful with attendance and/or grades will be returned to campus.
We will not move students to virtual learning after this date for marking period 6 unless there is a COVID scenario.
OFFICE HOURS & THE LATE BUS
CHECK OUT TEACHER WEBSITE LINKS ON TIVY WEBSITE
Office Hours (Tutoring) Schedules are available on teacher websites and posted for individual TEAMS. On-campus students are able to connect with teachers before school, during lunch, and after-school as needed. Students will receive a pass from a teacher for the late bus. It leaves campus at 4:30 Monday thru Thursday.
National Honor Society Tutoring is available Monday through Thursday in the library until 4:30. Students can be issued a Golden Ticket (pictured) to attend from their teachers; all students are welcome. If your student needs additional support, consider peer tutoring options.
Virtual students should connect with teachers through TEAMS, email, and participate in live class zooms when possible. Virtual students needing additional assistance should contact their teacher directly.

Campus Safety Reminders: Visitors & Deliveries
We will continue to limit on campus visitors to parents/families for school needs. Thank you for your understanding. We are still restricting visitors on campus; we love to see our former Antlers but we are not accepting visits at this time.
Please keep deliveries to campus limited to educational needs.
Visitor Parking and Entrances
A few reminders on safety:
1. Visitor parking is located in the student parking lot on north side of campus. Please use those spaces to park and proceed to school entrance.
2. All exterior doors are locked throughout the school day. There will be door bells to press for entrance. All visitors will be COVID-19 screened; questions are displayed by door bell. Please plan accordingly when visiting the campus.
3. Deliveries to campus for students must be brought into the office. We do not want students meeting cars in parking lots for deliveries. Please partner with us to keep students in supervised areas. Please limit deliveries to essential items for students.
