The Falcon Flyer

Superintendent Issue-October 2022

Thank you for the great start to the school year!

Thank you to all the parents, caregivers, staff members, and students that make Clinton-Massie one of the greatest places to work and learn in all of Ohio. We have had a great start to the school year. As I walk through the halls, I feel a level of normalcy that has been missing for the last two years. Through the battles of health concerns, ever-changing procedures, and new funding formulas we have managed to move forward as a district. This district never fails to amaze me with the amount of resiliency and compassion it has on display daily. I love being a part of the Falcon Family and I hope you do as well.

Please come join us soon on campus and support academics, athletics and the arts. There are many ways to get involved and before you know it the end of the year will be upon us. I cannot believe it... over forty-five days of the school year are behind us. Like many of you I feel like this year is going by so quickly. I believe Steve Miller said it best, "Time keeps on slippin, slippin into the future." And at Clinton-Massie "the future's so bright, I gotta wear shades!" If you would like to see a video of me singing these two songs, please click here.

...and as always, GOOOOOO Falcons!

The School-Based Health Center nears completion

Many people have asked when the SBHC (school-based health center) will be open for business. We are meeting with the architect to do the final punch out list this week. Keys to the facility will be turned over to Carrie Fairchild, owner of Greater Tomorrow Health, as early as 10-26. Greater Tomorrow will install their computer systems and add their furniture as soon as possible. Once the interior is ready to display to the public, an open house for the staff and community will be announced. As a friendly reminder this facility will be open to the general public and our students and staff. Hours of operation will be determined by Greater Tomorrow Health.

The renovations for the SBHC and the furniture for the facility were paid for by federal grant dollars and a contribution from The Legacy Fund (Clinton County Foundation). We would like to thank Greater Tomorrow Health, The Legacy Fund, Interact for Health, Cindy Stenger, and the Clinton-Massie Board of Education for their help making this project a reality. We are so excited to bring health care closer to our community. Check out a few pictures of the unfurnished SBHC below.

Net Promoter Scores Released

Twice a year Clinton-Massie Local Schools, as part of the Board of Education's Strategic Plan, sends out a request to parents, community members, staff and students to participate in a net promoter score survey. The results allow the board of education and the district administration to quickly capture feedback and assess overall stakeholder satisfaction.

The Student and Parent/Community Results can be found here.

District Facebook has been hacked!

In case you follow the district Facebook page we have not been able to get it back online. On October 6th our FB was locked by FB due to "someone using our account without our knowledge". If anybody has ever had to work with Facebook customer service you know this has not been an easy process. We will update this issue once a solution has been reached. Thank you for your patience.
