5Essential Survey
WCE is at 35% Parent Response Rate!
Thank you to ALL of the families that have helped us reach our 20% minimum threshold to receive our report!
The Illinois 5Essentials Survey gathers data related to five indicators that can be targeted to improve important student outcomes, including attendance and state test score gains. The 5Essentials Survey asks questions about:
· Effective Leaders
· Collaborative Teachers
· Involved Families
· Supportive Environments
· Ambitious Instruction
District 15 has chosen to provide the optional 5Essentials parent survey.
Your identity and survey responses will be kept completely confidential and will never be connected to you or your child.
The Parent Survey will be conducted from Feb. 3, 2021 and closes April 2, 2021. You may take the survey at any time by visiting https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/ and selecting the appropriate survey to begin.
You still have time to provide your input for continuous growth and improvement at WCE!
For more information about the Illinois 5Essentials Survey, please visit https://illinois.5-essentials.org.
March PBIS Character Trait Focus: Citizenship
Our Climate and Culture Team meets monthly to review office referral data and minor referral data. Through analyzing our data, the Climate and Culture team determined that we wanted to target the skill of "Citizenship" for the month of March.
Please take time at home to discuss different ways students can demonstrate that they care about others!
Reminder: Fully Power Down Chromebooks Each Night
Please be sure to power down your chromebooks completely each night and not just close them. The chromebooks do not auto-update from home if they have not been fully powered down. This is especially important to avoid technology issues.
Palatine Public Library and District 15 presents SORA!
Thanks to a partnership with the Palatine Public Library, all District 15 students are able to access SORA, a digital and audio book app for students! If your student does not have both CCSD15 and Digital Library of Illinois listed in his or her SORA menu (three lines in the top right), the account will need to be set up. Please follow these instructions to get started.
