Died: January 30,1836
Betsy Ross was a Quaker went to a public Quaker school for 8 hours a day she was taught reading , writing, and received instructions in trade probably sewing.
She was the eighth of 17 children one of them died at birth born to Samuel and Rebecca Griscom . Both parents were Quakers. Betsy ross attended an Angelican church for several years but then joined the society of free the Quakers, also known as the fighting Quakers.
Work/JobShe sewed flags for the state of Pennsylvania, earning enough money to buy livestock and property in Philadelphia and Cumberland Counties.
