A message from the principal

Greetings Voss Parents,

I hope each of you are doing very well. We are close to almost 4 full weeks of school and our students are learning, learning, learning! . Football, volleyball, and cross country is underway as is our band, orchestra, theater, and choir. This Thursday starting at 6:00 PM, all are invited to join us for our very first family night of the year, our Voss' Club and Community Showcase. The purpose of this family event is to invite you to connect with all of our clubs and extracurricular activities as well as with our local businesses and community organizations that want to be a part of our campus. We will have a couple of food trucks so come have dinner with your family and learn all about Voss and your local community offerings.

We recently rolled out our "Captain's Club" program and look forward to recognizing students for their acts of service and outstanding character. Each staff member at Voss received two red wristbands and are encouraged to award them to students who go above and beyond their role as a student at Voss.

This Saturday at 1:00 PM is a very special day for our campus as our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Dedication will take place. Our band, choir, and orchestra will perform, we will hear from Tyler Voss' family and friends, as well as from our superintendent and school board. The ceremony will end with a flyover tribute led by one of Tyler's best friends. It will be a once in a lifetime event for our students and we hope you are able to attend.

Have a wonderful rest of the week and thank you for all of your support to date. We couldn't do all that we do without it.

Go Eagles!

Beto Hinojosa, Ed. D., Principal

Dress Code Grace Period

Through the start of school we have been reminding our students of our district's updated dress code policy. Items that have frequently come up and discussed with our students are hair length covering the eyes, jeans with rips and holes above the mid-thigh, and athletic shorts that do not meet mid-thigh range. Please continue to remind your students about the new district's dress code policy.

Progress Reports Available on Skyward!

Our three week grading period was last week. Be sure to stay connected with Skyward and updated on all of your child's grades. If you have any questions or issues with access, please let us know.

Oops... wrong way!

If you have plans to pick up or have a meeting on campus after 3:30, please plan accordingly as you may not be able to access our parking lot without going the wrong way into our entrance. We have seen multiple cars do this and it creates a safety risk to both you and those exiting the site at that time. We are reviewing possible solutions for campus access and will communicate any changes. Until then, please do not enter the parking lot from the left lane on Voss Parkway.
