Let's Get Ready for Catholic Schools Week!

Catholic Schools Week 2022 1

IReady Diagnostic Testing 2

This week, we completed our IReady Diagnostic Testing in reading for Grades 5-8. As you can see our results are extremely positive, and we are well on track for all students to be at or above grade level in the spring.

The below chart reflects the percentage of our students on or above grade level. As an example, in the fall, 61% of our 8th graders were on or above grade level. Today, 74% of them are on or above grade level. Our 5-8th graders have shown tremendous growth in reading.

In the next few days, we will be administering the math diagnostic as well as continuing the reading to the remaining grade levels. Your child's teacher will be able to give you results and a better picture of your child's growth.

A great way to work with your child on their IReady, is to have at home data trackers. The following link is a great at home chart that can easily be placed on a bulletin board!

Late Nite Catechism Comes to St. Damian

We are very excited to announce that our fundraiser this year will be "Late Nite Catechism" on March 24, 2022. While we have secured the event, quite a bit of planning will need to be put in place. We would love for you to join our committee. Please contact Mrs. Ward if you would like to help us out. We really do need you. There are a variety of opportunities large and small to be involved! Thank you so much for your help.
