Call for Volunteers
Power of Engineering (Inc.)
Do you think engineering has the power to change the world? More and more women in Australia are making a real difference through a career in engineering.
What is the Power of Engineering?
The Power of Engineering (Inc.) is a new industry-based, non-profit organisation aiming to increase the amount of women and non-traditional entrants entering the engineering profession. One of our main activities is to capture students attention towards engineering careers, right at that critical moment when they choose their senior subjects.
In collaboration with Engineers Australia, AECOM and Queensland University of Technology, Power of Engineering (Inc.) are holding a series of FREE one day events for students in years 9 and 10. The aim of these events is to educate and inspire students (and their teachers) about the power of engineering, dispel some of the myths that exist about the profession and show how engineering can change the world!
Featuring practical workshops and inspiring guest speakers the students will get to try their hand at various engineering exercises and be inspired by successful people currently working in the engineering profession.
We want people like you!
Are you passionate about engineering being portrayed in a positive light and keen to get involved in extracurricular activities? We are currently looking for:
