Posture and technique
What is proper posture and technique and why is it important? Well, technique is basically the way you type or the form and keying style that a typist uses while operating the keyboard. The way the typist sits and the way the typist’s arms, wrists, fingers, legs and feet are placed is the posture. It’s important that you use the proper posture because if wrist or something is misplaced, you could have a serious injury. It’s also important to have the right technique because you could get a disorder if using the wrong way.
Carpel Tunnel Syndrome
One thing that can happen of bad posture or technique is Carpel tunnel syndrome. How you know you have Carpel tunnel syndrome is if itching numbness in the palm of the hand, or frequent burning/tingling. Those are symptoms of the Carpal tunnel syndrome. What happens is the median nerve becomes pressed at the wrist. The median nerve runs from the forearm to the hand, it also controls the hand and fingers. Also, the Carpal tunnel is basically a cover for the median nerve. This is why you have to be careful.
