March 2021 Edition

Happy Spring!!!

Hello again wonderful PCI Families. Wow, how the time has gone! As they say, March certainly came in like a lion and is leaving like a lamb. It's been quite a month. We've honored and celebrated more of our amazing Aviator of the Month friends. We've practiced and reviewed our R.S.V.P. goals so we can earn even more Dojo points to shop in our Aviator Shop. We've learned many new and exciting things in all of our classes. However, I think we can all agree that the most exciting thing we've done this month is getting back into our building. It has been so wonderful seeing and hearing the students throughout the building. Whether virtual or in person, it has been so terrific to hear and see the enthusiasm of all the students. This has been a year like no other, and whether coming back into the building, or staying virtual, the last few weeks have been quite a change for everyone. All the students have done such an amazing job as we've transitioned back. Here are some more exciting things we have to look forward to in the coming months.

March Character Trait is Honesty

March's Character Trait is honesty. Students showing exemplary traits in honesty include the following behaviors:

  • telling the truth based on what actually happened, based on facts and real things (not lying)
  • telling the whole truth, and not leaving out parts in order to hide something you know is wrong (lies of omission)
  • acting in a way that is truthful and doesn’t hide the truth or trick others (not deceiving)

PBIS and R.S.V.P.

The students have been reviewing all the ways they can show their R.S.V.P. skills now that they are back in the building and as they also remain virtual. They have been learning and reviewing how to R-be responsible, such as continuing to complete work, S-be safe, such as wearing a mask when in the building, V, voice, such as using a quiet voice when switching classes, and P, being positive and putting their best effort into all they do. They will continue to earn those Dojo points when displaying these behaviors through out the day.

Aviator Shop Update

A big shout out and thank you to all of you that took part in our Chipotle fundraiser last month. We were able to take that money we earned and purchase more items for our Aviator Shop. As we are reviewing and practicing our R.S.V.P. in the next few weeks, we will be able to add more incentives and exciting rewards for all our wonderful efforts.
