Welcome to Term 4

Monday, 18 October 2021

I hope all students have had a relaxing holiday break and managed to have some 'down time' over the past two weeks. Yesterday was great to see all their enthusiastic faces at our morning meeting and then again when visiting each classroom. It was hard to believe we have had two weeks break because there was a lovely feel in each classroom with students carrying on from where they left off last term.

This week we will see more announcements made by the government that will have implications on us as a school on how we can run for the rest of the year. As soon as we get this information we will take time to consider the implications for us as a school and then communicate this to our community.

Agri Day

This year due to the restrictions of COVID we are going to run our Pet Day differently. We will call it an agri day where both the junior and senior students will be put through a range of activities similar to those of the Agri Kids. We are in the process of organising this and confirming dates with the organisers. The plan is to have a date by the end of the week with more information.

The date that we originally had for Pet Day is now no longer so please take this off your calendar.

Sun Hats

Just a reminder that in Term 4 all students should be wearing their sun hats when playing outside. Each child was given their own sun hat last year so they should still have one at school. Sun hats can be purchased at the school office if they have been lost. Please make contact with the school office if you need another hat.

Positive Education Parent Afternoon

We will be looking to run a Positive Education Parent Afternoon next Wednesday, 27 October for any parent who is interested in learning more about Positive Behaviour for Learning and how we link this in to the curriculum. The venue will be in the school library at 3.15pm.

This will be in the form of an informal discussion followed by a Q&A session.
