Picture of Love!
After a fourth grade swimming trip, this was the scene outside. If this isn't love........what is!? IHES is known for our loving culture and taking care of our families. She wanted to be sure the children's swimsuits did not mildew if left in their cubbies! Way to go, Ms. Tomberlin!
Intentional Plans!
Mrs. Mitchell, you are thoughtful and intentional with instruction. It is obvious you have spent a great deal of time planning...it shows throughout your entire classroom! Your students are reaping the benefits of your attention to details in your planning. You ROCK!
We ALL Pitch In!
When Miss Willie Mae fell early Monday morning, Miss Heather and Miss Deborah from the cafeteria quickly came to her aid! Putting others first is the Pirate Way! Thank you, all, for demonstrating your care and compassion to all Pirates.

- Please remember to send a note with students when they are sent to Alison. As a federal mandate, she MUST have a record of clinic visits.
- When students move, please continue to mark them absent in Power School until their name is removed.
- When a parent sends in a note, email, or phone call regarding a student absence, please forward it to Kim. This will streamline communication with parents and IHES.
- Our IHES Pirates raised $381.70 for the DCMS friends that lost their belongings in a fire.

- Crystal and I are looking into several options to provide more time for planning for classroom teachers. One option we are exploring is asking for sub money for 1/2 day planning twice each year. We have not gotten a response regarding this request but will keep you informed. The other option we would like to talk to you about at latte start. We will explain our thinking here and then send out a survey for your thoughts.
- Don't forget to complete the late start personality test sent by Rich and resent moments ago for late start.
- Mark your calendars for November 20, 2012. Derek McQuiston will be here to meet with teachers during planning for the adaptation phase of iPad training. A sub has been secured for teachers who will not have planning that day.
