Forward Success for Gr. 3 and Gr. 4
Facing the rigorous challenges of the statewide assessment
Did you Know?
The students in grade 3 and 4 take the statewide assessment along with their 5th -8th grade schoolmates over the final 9 days of March. Gr. 4 and Gr. 8 students work also on social studies and science tests as part of their battery. Math, Writing, Listening, and Reading/Language Arts are the components that all of the children take. Preparation for these assessments is also part of our work at school. True and false questions, fill in the blanks, or matching questions are things of the past. Children have to cite evidence for their responses and also create rationale for solving problems, on their chromebooks.
Some motivation for the children to do their best

Wanna smile a bit?
Here are two of the most wonderful things I see in school every day-#1 children smiling and #2 they are working together taking cold lunches to the cafeteria. Thank you for sharing your most precious persons in your lives with us.
An annual event
With each passing spring, our school counselor, Ms. Kohnert, joins 4-5 volunteers to assist in the placing of handprints on our interior school walls. We have been doing this since 1997 and proudly display these memories of belonging to our Primary School community. Thanks Ms. Kohnert and volunteers. Be sure to check these out as you walk in our main entrance.
