2020-2021 Be a Light for All to See, Matthew 5:16
Shining the Classroom Spotlight!
Mrs. Zalucki
- Mrs. Zalucki has three daughters that graduated from RSPS, the youngest is in her Freshman year of college.
- Mrs. Zalucki is know to be a friend of St. Anthony's! It seems like anytime something is lost, it is Mrs. Zalucki who is able to find it.
- The staff is very appreciative of the wonderful baked goods she so frequently makes and shares with us. She is a WONDERFUL baker.
In the pictures above, Mrs. Zalucki went to the various classrooms to help students make their Jesse tree ornaments. This is another wonderful RSPS tradition. Each grade is assigned the same ornament to make each year. Therefore, when a student graduates from RSPS, they will have a complete set of Jesse Tree ornaments to keep always.

Celebrating Advent at Home
Does it seem to you that each year the holiday season gets busier and busier, and we get further and further away from the true meaning of Christmas?
The best way to combat this tendency is to adopt or renew Advent traditions in the home.
Attached is a calendar of ideas to celebrate Advent with your family at home. It's a spiritual journey! Spiritually, we long for the coming of Christ into our hearts as the Holy Spirit draws us into ever deepening relationship with Him.
Intent to Enroll DUE TOMORROW!!
The year is progressing quickly, and it is hard to believe that it is almost time to register for the 2021-2022 school year. We are committed to keeping tuition costs reasonable for the upcoming school year, so we ask that you complete this Intent to Enroll form, which enables the School Board Finance Committee to build a budget based on realistic enrollment numbers.
We are asking each family to inform us of your current intentions for the 2021-2022 school year by December 7th. A letter was sent out last week to each family with additional details. The letter is attached below.

The requirements to apply have been adjusted to allow for more people to qualify. See below for details. Also, feel free to send Mrs. Underwood, tunderwood@resstpaul.org, an email if you have any questions.
Gifts of Gratitude Program
Gifts of Gratitude
This popular program is sponsored by the HSA and designed to provide our families with an affordable, easy way to thank our treasured faculty and staff this Christmas!
Here’s how it works:
- Visit this link no later than December 14 to enter your gift amounts. This deadline is firm, as the elves need time to compile the contributions before Christmas! https://forms.diamondmindinc.com/Annual_Fund/christmas2020?token=667910728
- The amount can be as little as $1, or as much as you choose! Are we serious, you can give $1? Yes, we are, and those small gifts add up!!
- We tally the combined amounts and each faculty/staff member receives an email thanking them with a list of families who contributed to the gift. The individual amounts that each family gave will NOT be listed and will be kept confidential. The staff member will then receive an Amazon gift card for the total amount contributed. As an added bonus, our school receives a portion of every gift card purchased since we use SCRIPS to send the gift card!
How can you participate?
Visit this link. By submitting your form online, you agree to have the funds invoiced from your FACTS account on December 14, 2020. If you prefer to send a check, you must submit a paper donation page. However, we strongly encourage you to utilize the above link and FACTS for ease of processing. You will receive an email from Diamond Mind Forms as confirmation your gift was processed.
Because you asked: Here are average amounts gifted in the past. If you choose to participate, please adjust your giving based on your personal comfort level.

Grant and Aid Application Process Is Now Open!
Tuition grant and aid is a need-based analysis of the cost of education vs. a family’s ability to pay and these awards do not need to be repaid. To objectively assess what a family is able to contribute to its student(s) education expenses, an independent third party (FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment) is used.
Support the School Through SCRIP
HSA is encouraging all families to participate in the Shop with Scrip fundraiser this year, especially with the cancellation of many fundraisers due to COVID. It is a simple gift card fundraiser. It benefits your family and the school at the same time. The PowerPoint below contains new information about the new app RAISE RIGHT and our school's enrollment code. This video also explains the SCRIP program. Please reach out to Jessica Dove (jmdove4@gmail.com) or post on the RSPS Parent Connect FB page with any questions. Jessica is always happy to help!

Out of State Travel Policy - UPDATE!
In an effort to reduce the possibility of introducing the COVID-19 virus into a school community, RSPS established a policy applicable to both students and employees which requires notification be provided when individuals are traveling out of state to areas defined as high risk jurisdictions based upon positivity rates of the destination.
Both students and staff must notify school administration in writing if they intend to travel to a state or country with a positivity rate for COVID-19 of 10% or greater during the period of their stay (see https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/testing/tracker/overview if the state you are visiting has reached that threshold).
In the event that students and/or staff members elect to proceed to visit a state with a positivity rate of 10% or greater, those traveling will be required upon their return to provide evidence of a negative PCR test result for COVID-19 and are asymptomatic or they have completed an entire 14 day quarantine.
It is advised that you create an appointment at a COVID-19 testing center prior to your travel for testing immediately upon your return. This will ensure there is no delay in getting tested, receiving your results, and your student’s return to in-person learning at school.
Students Who are Quarantining
Please let Julie Rice, jrice@resstpaul.org, to inform her of any close contact exposures, presumptive positive cases, or positive cases in your household so we can coordinate instructional programming and follow all COVID-19 protocols.
VIRTUS Training for all Volunteers
Required training for all volunteers
Due to COVID-19 policies, visitors and volunteers will not be allowed in the building until further notice. We welcome volunteer service that can be done from home.
RSPS Career Opportunities
We are looking to expand our current Panther Faculty and Staff for the 2020-2021 school year to accommodate the needs of our students and all our reduced class sizes due to risk mitigation policies and procedures.
