AP Capstones @ Norwood High
Many may recall that one of our planned improvements, if the override passed, was to increase the number and variety of Advanced Placement (AP) courses at Norwood High School. One of the additional offerings is known as AP Capstone. This interdisciplinary course encourages students to demonstrate critical thinking, collaboration, and academic research skills on topics of the student's choosing. The ultimate goal is to develop the skills required for success in higher education and the professional world. Over the next few weeks, several of these impressive capstone projects will be shared publicly. These efforts reflect the district's commitment to developing the necessary skills for our students’ future success.

Strategic Plan Update
We are entering the final two years of our five-year strategic plan, which was developed in 2019. There has been considerable change and progress since our plan was first developed. We have also achieved or made significant progress in our objectives. This past spring, we incorporated findings from our Equity Audit into our plan for the final two years. We are finalizing this plan and will share it with the School Committee and the community at the end of December. One can view the Strategic Plan and past updates here, and our revised plan will be published shortly. I thank Norwood Public School Staff for their considerable efforts over the past three years. I would also like to thank the community and town leaders for their continued support in enacting these improvements.
