CARLSON COURIER
Champions Under Construction
Greetings Champions,
What a great week! We finished our state AASA testing and celebrated with the Greatest Show, aka Carlson Spring Carnival on Friday night. It is always such a wonderful time coming together as a community for the kids. Seeing their smiles and sugared up excitement said it all. Behind the greatest show is the greatest team of volunteers that make up our PTO. A huge debt of gratitude goes out to Mrs. Nikki Macias, PTO president and the following board members, Mrs. Monica Jones, Mrs. Elisa Gross, Mrs. Stephanie Wesselmann, and Mrs. Justine Krolikowski along with super volunteers Angie Dwiggins, Summer Campbell, and Christina Hutton, Katie Pailchuk, and Denise Coracides. And to all of you that put together and donated such amazing items for the raffle baskets. They were such a huge hit and filled with amazing prizes. Thank you everyone for all your help and support. Together this team put in endless hours of planning, preparing, and decorating in order to have everything organized and ready for the big day. So, on behalf of the Carlson staff, students and community we thank you ladies for all your hard work to make this event so special for our students, and thank you for the greatest Spring Carnival. These memories will last a lifetime and for that we are grateful.
As we get ready to turn the page on April and head into May, there are quite a few events coming up that you should be aware of. Students were reminded about the talent show and permission slips are due on Tuesday to Mrs. Murrieta. Below you will also find dates for the upcoming band and orchestra concerts, yearbook signing parties, and end of the year celebrations. For this week, 1st grade will be going on a field to Child's Play Theater on Wednesday and we will be hosting another Champions Lunch on Friday for the character trait of Citizenship.
Finally, don't forget to take a minute and fill out the "Building Carlson Champions" survey. This helps us better serve you and your student(s). At Carlson we strive to be Champions in all we do and do be a Champion we know that takes hard work, dedication and great coaching. So, please take a minute and let us know what you like that we do and what needs a little work. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to our continued success.
p.s. last call for the golf tournament this Sunday at Legacy Golf course. All proceeds are going to help the Shuck family. Thank you to Mrs. Barten for organizing this great event. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Have a great week!
Most Gratefully,
Mr. Morgan

Also, the side of the street can result in a ticket and fine so please don't let kids out from the street. We have crossing at the two main intersections if they are walking that need to be used. It's getting dangerous with all the corners being cut. Please follow the traffic and drop off/pick protocols to ensure student safety.
