Looking ahead

Checklists are a passion of mine, especially after reading the Checklist Manifesto. If you are interested in creating an electronic or hard copy of a classroom manual including all those procedures you have to share with every new aide or sub for the day, I will post some dates to SignUp Genius. We have some templates ready to go and we can customize with your classroom details.

I often talk about doing "one small thing" as a way to make great progress over time. My other favorite recent read was Atomic Habits. It explains how to break down any change I am hoping to make into steps that feel manageable even when life often seems so messy. If you are looking to shift your classroom practices or just take one small step and would like to chat I am here all summer. We can even connect using WebEx to save time and gas.

My pet project list for 2019-2020 includes:

  • Fact fluency interventions
  • Word problem interventions
  • Classroom manuals and checklists
  • Co-teaching in the real world
  • Using music with emergent learners

Click here to add your name for more information on any or all of these projects. Above all, I hope you relish, refresh, and find joy this summer.

Save me a date?

Here's a link to reserve time for me to come to you! . New dates will continue to be added throughout the year. Once you sign up for a time slot, you will receive confirmation email and request for a little information about your priorities for our time together: individual students, whole/small group instruction, targeted intervention, data & assessment, or "name your own" focus.
